Ingredients 

Galette Dough

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup vegan butter cold and cubed
  • ¼ cup ice water

Apple Filling

  • 3 apples peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and cold vegan butter. Use a fork or pastry cutter to mix until crumbly.
  3. 3. Gradually add ice water, mixing until the dough comes together. Form into a disk, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. 4. In another bowl, toss apple slices with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  5. 5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
  6. 6. Arrange the apple slices in the center of the dough, leaving a 2-inch border. Fold the edges over the apples.
  7. 7. Bake for 40 minutes or until the crust is golden and the apples are tender.
  8. 8. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
