  • 2 cups Vital Wheat Gluten
  • 1 cup Vegetable Broth
  • 2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the vital wheat gluten, vegetable broth, soy sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for a few minutes until it becomes elastic.
  4. Shape the dough into a rib-like slab and place it on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  5. Cover the dough with another sheet of aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  6. Remove the top foil and brush the dough with BBQ sauce. Bake for another hour, basting with more BBQ sauce every 20 minutes.
  7. Let the ribs cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
