Instructions
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add water and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove beignets with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
