Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
Add flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead until a smooth dough forms. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
In a skillet, sauté onions, carrots, and cabbage until tender. Add soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Divide dough into 8 pieces. Roll each piece into a circle, fill with vegetable mixture, and fold to seal.
Place bierocks on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
