  • 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup beets grated
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a food processor, combine black beans, grated beets, breadcrumbs, olive oil, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until well mixed but still slightly chunky.
  2. 2. Shape the mixture into 4 patties.
  3. 3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side, until browned and heated through.
  4. 4. Serve on buns with your favorite toppings.
