- 4 slices rustic bread
- 2 cups heirloom tomatoes, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, chopped
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place bread slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5 minutes or until golden brown.
In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Spoon the tomato mixture onto the toasted bread.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
