Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Chickpeas cooked or canned
  • 1 large Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 inch Ginger grated
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 cup Water
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Cilantro chopped, for garnish

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and garam masala. Cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add chickpeas and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Season with salt to taste. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
