Ingredients

  • 1 cup Aquafaba (liquid from a can of chickpeas)
  • ¼ teaspoon Cream of tartar
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon Food coloring (optional)

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk the aquafaba and cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gradually add the sugar while continuing to whisk until the mixture is glossy.
  4. Fold in the vanilla extract and food coloring, if using.
  5. Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, forming small mounds.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until the tops are slightly golden.
  7. Let cool completely before serving.
