Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch turmeric for color, optional

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together almond milk and cornstarch until smooth.
  2. Add sugar and turmeric, if using. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Let it cool before using as a filling.
