Ingredients 

Filling

  • 4 cups fresh cherries, pitted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup non-dairy milk
  • ½ cup vegan butter, melted

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cherries, sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the non-dairy milk and melted vegan butter until just combined.
  4. Pour the cherry mixture into a baking dish. Drop spoonfuls of the batter over the cherries.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
