Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 1 block extra-firm tofu (pressed and cut into strips)
  • to taste Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. Mix almond milk and apple cider vinegar. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, oregano, thyme, smoked paprika, and nutritional yeast.
  3. Dip tofu strips in the almond milk mixture, then coat with the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry tofu strips until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
