Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup molasses
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine brown sugar, molasses, vegetable oil, and water.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  5. Roll dough into ¼ inch thickness and cut into shapes.
  6. Place cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
  7. Let cool before serving.
