Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice uncooked
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • ¼ cup Olive oil
  • ¼ cup Pine nuts toasted
  • ¼ cup Raisins
  • 1 tablespoon Dried mint
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 jar Grape leaves rinsed and drained
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 lemon Lemon juice freshly squeezed

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine rice, onion, garlic, olive oil, pine nuts, raisins, dried mint, salt, and black pepper.
  2. 2. Place a grape leaf shiny side down. Add a spoonful of the rice mixture in the center. Fold the sides over the filling and roll up tightly.
  3. 3. Repeat with remaining grape leaves and filling.
  4. 4. Place the stuffed grape leaves seam side down in a pot. Add water and lemon juice.
  5. 5. Cover and simmer on low heat for 45 minutes, or until the rice is cooked.
  6. 6. Let cool slightly before serving.
