Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 large portobello mushrooms
  • 4 slices vegan Swiss cheese
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup lettuce
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions 

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Brush mushrooms with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill mushrooms for 5 minutes on each side.
  4. Place a slice of vegan Swiss cheese on each mushroom and let it melt.
  5. Toast burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Assemble burgers with grilled mushrooms, onion, tomato, avocado, and lettuce.
