Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 Juice of one lemon
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoon Chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions 

  1. 1. Cook the basmati rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. 2. In a saucepan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  3. 3. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  4. 4. Add turmeric powder and stir for a few seconds.
  5. 5. Add the cooked rice, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well.
  6. 6. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve warm.
