Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked lentils
  • 1 cup chopped mushrooms
  • ½ cup walnuts finely chopped
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a food processor, combine lentils, mushrooms, walnuts, onion, garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, smoked paprika, and cumin. Pulse until well combined but still slightly chunky.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Form the mixture into 4 patties and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the patties are firm and browned.
  6. Serve on buns with your favorite toppings.
