Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups macaroni uncooked
  • 1 cup cashews soaked in water for 4 hours
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • ¼ cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric for color

Instructions 

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a blender, combine soaked cashews, almond milk, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and turmeric. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the sauce into a saucepan and cook over medium heat until it thickens, stirring constantly.
  4. Mix the cooked macaroni with the sauce. Serve warm.
