- 2 cups vodka
- 1 cup maraschino cherries pitted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved to make a simple syrup.
2. Place pitted cherries in a jar. Pour in the vodka and simple syrup.
3. Seal the jar and let it sit in a cool, dark place for at least 2 weeks, shaking occasionally.
4. Strain the mixture into a clean bottle. Discard the cherries or use them in desserts.
