Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans crushed tomatoes (28 ounces each)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon sugar

Instructions 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, salt, black pepper, oregano, basil, and sugar.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
