Ingredients 

Marinade

  • ¼ cup Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground

Sandwich

  • 2 pieces Chicken Breasts boneless, skinless
  • 4 pieces Pita Bread
  • 1 cup Lettuce shredded
  • 1 cup Tomatoes diced
  • ½ cup Cucumber sliced
  • ¼ cup Red Onion thinly sliced

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the chicken breasts for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  4. Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
  5. Warm the pita bread on the grill for about 1-2 minutes on each side.
  6. Assemble the sandwiches by placing sliced chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion inside the pita bread.
