Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice about 4-6 lemons
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices optional, for garnish
  • Mint leaves optional, for garnish

Instructions 

  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved, creating a simple syrup. Let it cool.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, simple syrup, and remaining 4 cups of cold water. Stir well.
  3. Add ice cubes to the pitcher.
  4. Serve in glasses over ice, garnished with lemon slices and mint leaves if desired.
