Ingredients 

Cake Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix orange juice, vegetable oil, apple cider vinegar, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in orange zest.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
