  • 2 cups pearl onions
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves

Instructions 

  1. Blanch the pearl onions in boiling water for 2 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath. Peel the onions.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté for 10 minutes.
  3. Add salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves before serving.
