Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 12 oz Pasta any type
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 Red bell pepper chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Canned tomatoes diced
  • ¼ cup Nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • ¼ cup Fresh basil chopped

Instructions 

  1. 1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped red bell pepper and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Add minced garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. 4. Add diced tomatoes, nutritional yeast, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. 5. Transfer the mixture to a blender and blend until smooth.
  6. 6. Return the sauce to the pan, add the cooked pasta, and toss to coat.
  7. 7. Serve with chopped fresh basil on top.
