Southern Buttermilk Fried Chicken Recipe

Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Soy milk unsweetened
- 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper
- ½ teaspoon Cayenne pepper
- 1 block Extra firm tofu pressed and sliced
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 cup Vegetable oil for frying
In a bowl, mix soy milk and apple cider vinegar. Let it sit for 5 minutes to curdle.
In another bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
Dip tofu slices into the soy milk mixture, then coat with the flour mixture. Repeat for a thicker coating.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry tofu slices until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
