Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal and salt.
  3. Add the water and vegetable oil, and mix until well combined.
  4. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and add a bit of oil to coat the bottom.
  5. Pour the batter into the skillet and spread it out evenly.
  6. Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
