  • 4 fillets Vegan catfish fillets
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 cup Non-dairy milk
  • 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine non-dairy milk and apple cider vinegar. Let it sit for 5 minutes to curdle.
  2. 2. In another bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. 3. Dip each vegan catfish fillet into the milk mixture, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture, ensuring an even coat.
  4. 4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  5. 5. Fry the fillets for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. 6. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
