Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup onion finely chopped
  • ¼ cup bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking

Instructions 

  1. Mash the black beans in a bowl until mostly smooth.
  2. Add breadcrumbs, onion, bell pepper, garlic, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
