Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Textured vegetable protein (TVP)
  • 1 cup Vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Sage
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Fennel seeds
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Vital wheat gluten

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine TVP and vegetable broth. Let it sit for 5 minutes to rehydrate.
  2. 2. Add soy sauce, maple syrup, liquid smoke, garlic powder, onion powder, sage, thyme, fennel seeds, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  3. 3. Stir in the vital wheat gluten until well combined.
  4. 4. Form the mixture into small patties.
  5. 5. Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until browned.
