Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme, dried
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. 4. Sprinkle in the flour, stirring constantly to form a roux. Cook for 2 minutes.
  5. 5. Gradually whisk in the vegetable broth, soy sauce, thyme, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  6. 6. Cook until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Adjust seasoning if needed.
