  • 1 head lettuce washed and torn into pieces
  • 1 small red onion thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Instructions 

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add red onion and cook until soft, about 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in apple cider vinegar and maple syrup.
  4. Add lettuce and toss until just wilted, about 2 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve immediately.
