Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 2 cups Vegetable broth
  • 1 cup Mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced

Instructions 

  1. Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until translucent.
  3. Add turmeric and salt. Stir well.
  4. Add basmati rice and stir to coat the rice with the oil and spices.
  5. Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Add mixed vegetables, cover, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.
