- 1 cup non-dairy milk
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 8 slices stale bread
- 1 medium apple, thinly sliced
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the non-dairy milk, ground flaxseed, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and maple syrup. Let it sit for a few minutes to thicken.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
Dip each slice of bread into the mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated.
Place the coated bread slices onto the skillet and cook until golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Serve the French toast topped with thinly sliced apples and a drizzle of maple syrup if desired.
